Tail lights flicker

Our 2024 27FB tail lights flicker just a bit when the 7 way is connected to our truck. When I unplug, it stops. When I turn on the lights or hit the brake, the lights work as they should.

It doesn't matter if the power switch just inside the door is on or off, and it doesn't matter if I'm hooked up to shore power or not.

The truck lights do not flicker; just the trailer.

Any ideas?

I had a similar issue last year. You may want to use something like CorrosionX on the trailer to truck 7 way plugs. It worked for me. Good luck

Is that like a dielectric grease or contact improvement product?

I see the product now.

Both truck and trailer are brand new so I doubt I have any corrosion, but certainly worth a look.

Lots of times when the tail lights come on by themselves it is an indication of a bad ground. Ck your ground connections because something is looking for a ground and using the tail lights for one. I know this sounds weird but you can trust me on this one.

Speaking of bad grounds...
When I moved my unmounted solar charge controller to set the dial to AGM (from the factory lithium setting), the yellow wire fell out. I fixed that and when I moved it back, I noticed a lot of copper showing on a mid sized (2-4 ga?) ground wire at the buss bar. When I moved that wire slightly, it fell out!
I reinstalled both and properly tighted ALL the connections.

I mentioned it to the dealer, and the tech said he's not surprised and sees it all the time.

Pretty sad for a hand built, proud to say we're the best, Airstream.

Sounds like a ground problem
