Scare/door light replacement

This is a fragment from another thread on spotlights and LEDs. See the full description there.

Replacing the door/porch light with three LED discs provides a much better area light than the scare light, IMHO. And only 0.6 amps at full brightness, 0.1 amps when on the dim setting!

That does look good and as a bonus when you have neighbors it doesn't shine in their trailer and bug them.

I put the LEDs as close to the lens as possible, so the light does shine out a bit horizontally, but way less than the scare light, for sure. I put them close to the lens to get good illumination fore and aft along the Airstream. Putting them back 3/4" would limit the light to an area closer to the Airstream, but might limit the side to side light. I'll think about that on the next one.
