Safari bathroom light not working

Hello,

One of the lights in the bathroom of my '07 25' Safari stopped working.

It is a World Friendship Co. RV Luminaire model no. 1WF0404002.

I thought the bulbs simply burned out, so I replaced them and it still does not work. I searched the forums, and searched for a replacement light online without luck.

Does anyone have an idea for either a replacement or other solution?

Thanks in advance,
Brad

Before writing off the fixture have you checked if there is power to the fixture? Have you checked the circuit breakers?

Great question. I have checked the breakers and everything seems to be functional. I did not specifically check power to that particular light. Thank you, I'll try that.

My 02 Safari SS has a switch behind the bathroom faucets that controls power to the light fixture in the sink area and the shower. It is near the water heater switch. Maybe yours has something similar.

Thanks, Richard, I will look for that switch. It is amazing to me that there are still things to be discovered years later.

The switch broke on the same fixture in our 06 19' Safari SE a couple years back.

If you do end up replacing the fixture you might consider this LED fixture, purchased at Camping World. We liked it so much we also replaced the same fixture over the sink and over the dinette. The switch is a toggle, so you can turn on or both sides on.

Those lights are a simple design. It may be a loose wire connection as well. Just take it off the wall and make sure the wire connections haven’t worked loose. A 12V test light costs less than $10 or so and will tell you if you have power to the wires after the light fixture is removed. Google for videos too. If you have power to the wires then just buy another light.

Our 2006 has the switch for that light on the same panel as the plugs, under the vanity, just past the faucet. It's very easy to miss. I have to constantly remind the wife.

We had our AS at Jackson Center for repairs. When we went to check on it our technician said "your bathroom light is out". I reached down and flipped the switch, light came on and he said ..."oh".

I've got a couple of these World Friendship 1WF0404002 lamps where the switch has failed. Has anyone found a replacement where the screw holes match? I'd like to reuse the screw holes rather than drill new and someday run into this same problem again.
thanks,
Steve
