In our 1975 International we have a round ceiling light near the centre bath. It still works great, but the control knob has gone missing. ( I suspect it rolled under the kitchen sink and dropped down into the underbelly or beyond )
Having a tough time finding a replacement. The service manual shows it as part# 380060. I see replacements for the switch offered (part# 500063) with a knurled knob, but any hope of finding the threaded plastic knob that fits the existing switch?
Looking at the diagram the key seems to be the size of the shaft that connects the switch to the knob. I think that switch was used over multiple years with different knobs.. it is likely knobs from the early 79s will also work. They are about 1 inch diameter round knobs. tThere were 2 shaft sizes though. I think you want the small diameter. The switch is still available and should come with a knob.
Maybe a lighting/ electrical supply will also have something that will fit the threaded shaft since it is a generic switch.

:For us. No. 5 the base is all cracked. There are no replacement parts at this point. I have to either replace the light or live with it.
If you decide to replace the fixture, let me know, I could use your old light.

I might have an opportunity to buy a complete replacement ... but I only need the knob. If it works out, would you be up for sharing the cost and taking everything BUT the knob ?
I guess. It depends on the price. There really has to be some replacement knob for that switch. You might have luck if you bring the switch to an electrical supply house? Or maybe a lamp replacement place. G
See the illustration on the bottom. I know you don't need the whole switch but??
I'm searching for an entire fixture. My switch broke yeaterday, but the base is so cracked, it's not worth repairing.
