Outside "Moonlight"

Anyone have a tip on how to remove the metal ring around the exterior moonlight? While I'm at it, how about how to easily remove the plastic lens cap on the exterior tear drop running lights?

Thanks, John

Thumbs up

Here's a photo careful pressure will release the lens.

On ours I just removed the screws and and worked a 2' length of fine stainless wire under the flange to cut the sealant, pried carefully and lifted out.

Thanks. There are no screws on the metal ring. Nor are there any screws in the lens. The metal ring does not screw on or off as best I can determine, but it does rotate.

Yes, that is it. It moves slightly left and right, but does not screw. I'm about ready to take a small screw driver and see if I can pop it off, or at least create enough space to slip a rag and work the ring off.
