Oblong light covers for '64 era?

My 64 is almost completely original. (okay, I'm replacing the goucho cushions and some curtains, and the fans are now fantastic fans, but other than that...)

Anyway, I have all the original long white covers. I'd like to replace a couple cracked ones if possible. Any one have any recommendations, or are they unobtanium?

Thanks,

Rob.

They are available at Inland RV - Part #: 65195. We got some for our '64 before we sold it...they are a pretty good replacement.

It has been several years, but when I had the interior on my '64 Overlander refurbished about seven years ago, the oblong, ceiling light shades were available from Inland RV. I believe that they are reproductions, but they fit perfectly and continue to look fantastic to this day. It would be worth a try to see if they are still available.

wow. Those aren't cheap. And they're on sale. I'll need to go back and revisit my options on it. If they were around half of that price, I'd replace them all, but at almost $40 a piece, I need to consider my options.

I'm glad though that Inland RV does give us the options, and I realize this is limited stock, not something that is sold by the thousands.

Yes! I just figured it out and made my own. They look great!. I got a plan from another Forum member and built on his idea. E-mail me later because I am at work and I will have to send what I did through private e-mail. I have used up my free quota of pics on airforums.

You might try Vintage Trailer Supply. Not sure if the ones they have will fit your 64. They did work for my 65.

Nope...the 1964 light lenses are unique and are not the same as the 1965 lights offered by VTS.

agreed. Andy has the right ones.... I just have to decide whether to replace a couple or all, or wait for some kind of coupon. To replace them all, it might be cheaper to build my own vacuum forming machine (I'm pretty handy - built a router lathe to turn out the legs for my bowling alley dining table - I'm sure I could figure it out)
