No running lights with Curt Bluetooth brake controller

I am really hoping someone can help me with a problem I am having with my 1977 Land Yacht.

Last year I was having problems with my brake /signal lights working intermittently. I cleaned all the light connections and got them working but they were very dim.

the RV 7 pin plug was original so this year I decided to replace it and at the same time I was able to clean the main 12v "ground" connection to the outer shell. Now the signal lights and running lights are super bright which is great.

The trouble I am having now is that the running lights work when I plug the umbilical directly to the TV but if I use my Curt bluetooth brake controller the running lights go off (althought the brake / turn lights work fine).

I haven't taken apart and cleaned the connections on all the running lights but when I was having issues with the signal lights due to corroded contacts the problem light stopped working and for the running lights they all stop working with the brake controller.

I would appreciate any advice. I could start working around the trailer cleaning all the contacts on each light but if that was the problem I don't understand why they work just fine without the brake controller.

You might try switching out your lights from incandescent to LED if you are still using incandescent bulbs.
