Newbi Bambi 16í

Hi Iím in the process of gutting my AS and need some recommendations for wiring, batteries and plumbing lines. Is there a specific place to look or do you have suggestions? I want it to fully support itself as well as be able to hook up at sites. Iíve no clue where to start but, am eager to learn more. Iíve tried stripping the paint from the inside with citristrip s as well as airplane stripper. Iím not sure what they put on the interior skins but itís hanging on for dear lifeClick image for larger version

You are in the right place.

Look in the vintage subforums for all things related to your particular years.

There are subforums for plumbing and electric to include solar.

Look for threads that say renovate, refurbish, shell off, full Monty, etc.

Don't throw anything away those parts are quite desirable.

The interior paint is likely zolotone if it's original.

Check your frame and floor so you can decide if you are doing a shell off or lift to put new subfloor in or strengthen your frame. Axels can wait if your not going to tow it till you're done.

Seal and tighten up openings, windows, compartments and doors to keep the elements out.

Read, read, read. Have fun. Take lots of photos.
