New umbilical setup

Hey guys. I need a little help with my remodel. I'm replacing all the wiring. I'm having trouble figuring out how to set up the new umbilical connection. I've removed the old 7 pin connection from the trailer...what do I replace it with? I haven't had any luck finding a 7 blade connector to put in that spot. Thanks in advance for the help!

Are you looking for the whole cable, like this?

https://www.amazon.com/Conntek-Black...7+pin+rv+cable

You can get it in different lengths, and they also have junction boxes available.

Lots of people eliminate that plug connection altogether and just hard wire their umbilical in, and "pot" it using silicone or Vulkem.

I chose to go with a set-up very similar to the original plug-in connection. I had no trouble finding the parts I needed. I blieve I found what I needed at Northern Tool.

good luck!

Thanks for the quick reply. So hardwiring in the umbilical is an option but I like the clean look of a plug there. Could I use this:

And then have a cord with a connection on both sides? Thanks again for the much needed guidance.

I got my plug and cord from VTS. Went with the all weather blue one. Not so much because of the more flexible wire but the color was nice.

I moved to the round seven pin connectors like heavy trucks use, both on the trailer end and the tow vehicle end.
