Need Help after scraping off a clearance light!!

In backing up our 2013 25FB FC, I got too close to a post, and managed to scrape off the rear roadside lower clearance light!! This resulted in the two wires to the clearance light falling back into the space between the inner and outer walls, and the clearance light on the ground.

I managed to fish the wires out of the AS, one green and one white. The clearance has one black and one white wire. I have searched the wiring diagrams and no no detail that helps, and no help from the repair shop at an Airstream dealer.

I am guessing that the correct wiring is "white to white", and the black on the light to the green from the trailer. Anyone know if this is correct? Will I damage the clearance light if I hook it up wrong?

Thanks for any help someone may have!!

One of the trailer wires is probably connected to ground (the trailer frame and skin). You can check them with an ohmmeter. If one of the light wires is connected to the mounting holes or plate, that one is ground. If not, it doesn't matter how the light is connected. Also, you could dismount another light to check.
