Metal Replacement for '60s Taillight Housing?

I am one of the lucky ones with the crazy plastic taillight housings, that of course, have cracked due to age and sunlight.

I don't want to go through the trouble of replacing my taillight housings just to put in more plastic.

Does anybody out there make metal housings of the same dimensions?

I would like to keep it the same style, but if given no choice, I would choose a metal housing that is wrong (but fits) over a plastic one that is right. (Sorry if that offends some of you).

Can anybody point me in the direction of someone who offers such an item? Who makes custom castings or presses custom fixtures?

I have looked in the usual places (Inland RV, Vintage Trailer Parts, etc) to no avail.

Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.
