LED Retrofit issue and reading light front assembly
I ordered the replacement LED lights for the entire interior of my '06 Safari that used 1156 regular bulbs and the reading light halogens. Everything was easy until I got to the reading light/halogen fixture. They contain a silver metal insert that is mounted internally with two phillips screws. The LED pancake pad's two rear contact wires are not long enough to be installed on top of the silver insert without unscrewing the inside insert mount. Is that what others of you have found? The light works beautifully and is a major improvement IMO but is that the solution you have found?
Secondly, I discovered that my AS has a missing front lens and twist on front on one of the nickel lights. Is there a place to buy just the front assembly of a reading light instead of buying the whole fixture for $30?
