LED lights and polarity

I am replacing my incandescent running lights with LEDs. Does polarity matter?

Absolutely, diodes pass current in one direction only. Good news is that if you get them reversed, simply swap the leads!

Yes and no.
There are some on the market that polarity does not matter others must be properly wired + and - in most cases if connected backwards you would have reverse bias and the led will not light reverse the wires and you should be good to go.

If they are in a bayonet case like a 1157 then you just swap them with the current bulbs but there should be a data sheet or a notice with the add if no polarity required.

When you replace the first one, test it to make sure you have no problems. And do the same for every single light!!!!! Nothing worse than have a problem and it is under one of 10 different lights and you don't know which one. :-)
