LED light by steps

The small LED light by steps when out. While setting by a fire one night my wife noticed the small LED light fading in and out. I turn it off and on and it stopped working all together. I pulled the light off and found the wires going into the trailer. Has anybody every changed it out? If so can you tell me where the connection is to replace light? I’m thinking I may need to pull out a few inches of wire spice right there.

Howdy!
Check for power at the wires first...
Do you have pictures?

Dont have LED's in my rig, but use them at work all the time. I have found many of them are fine, just need a little adjustment.

Some LED's have a two pronged connector that inserts into the housing where the power feeds the fixture. This connector can "slide" out of the housing just enough to do exactly what you described.

Anyway might be worth a shot before digging into the wiring.

Take the cover off the light to expose the led and see if yours is similar. If so give it a gentle shove toward the housing and see if that does it.

Ours did the same ... ended up soldering a longer pig tail and using plug connectors on the re-install. The original wiring to the LED board was intermittent.

Is your AS still under warrantee? If it is, have your AS company fix it free. If not, call your parts manager for guidance.
