Lamp repair

Hello,
I have a lamp at the front of my 1974 Globetrotter that sometimes works but most of the time doesn't. It seems to come on when I bump it in a particular way. I haven't quite figured out exactly which way that is and would like to just fix it. Does anyone have experience with fixing one? I am not an electrician but am willing to venture into that area. I've attached a picture of the lamp.
Thanks,
Carm

I've taken things to a "lamp repair" store and they made them like new.
A lamp is not rocket science, but if the wire is broken in the swivel, or it needs new parts, they have the tools and materials.

Hello Carm,
The fact that it works if you bump it probably means a loose connection.
Me, I would take it apart and figure it out but I realize that isn't for everyone...
Do you have an idea where it is losing power? i.e. when and or where it swivels? I have a lamp That for years would have to be wiggled at the bulb base only to find the wires connected to the base had worked loose.
I assume it is a 120v fixture so be sure you disconnect power before any attempt. It may be a broken wire on the swivel so if you find that to be true you may be able to fish a new wire through.
Good luck and work safe.
