So, I was up on the roof resealing everything and noticed what I think was an old CB antenna just behind the AC, being held onto the roof (poorly, I might add) by some old sealant. All of the rivets where gone, and this thing was wet underneath. Not being a big CB fan, and just trying to fix all of the leaks, I removed it, cut the wire (looked like a coax), put a new plate up there and didn't think anything of it.

I have just started noticing that half of my 12V lights are no longer working on one side, both exterior as interior. I'm trying to figure out if it's just a coincidence that I noticed after I cut this CB wire, or if by not terminating that coax or something that I caused it. The light by the door, the fan over the cook top, and the mounted light in the center are all out. The light in the back and front all work, and everything on the opposite side work. No fused have been blown, and I know that at least within the last week these lights where working......HELP!

Go back to that thing you dis-connected and check it out is one way of starting...good luck and stay out of that BLASTED HEAT!!! We are down here in Altus Oklahoma Bill

There's probably a junction box inside of your upper cabinet by the cooktop vent. The wires for prettymucheverything ran through this. It may be that by pulling on the coax you might have pulled a connection loose. I remember a lot of wires crossed over from the street side to the curb side in my '64 and they almost all went into one junction box. Another possibility is that it wasn't an antenna that you cut the wire on, though I can't think of anything like what you mentioned that is not an antenna. Have you tried to chase down the wire inside of the Airstream to see where it starts and terminates at? That may help you identify what the wire is for.
