How to replace the spring on the exterior flood light?

Anyone know how to replace the spring at the bottom of the external flood light? Mine has corroded and it isn’t pushing up the connection to engage the bulb

I’m a 1988 excella 34’

Thanks

That would be a new fixture swap. I’m not sure you could replace the spring with any long term success.

Pull on it and stretch it a bit. Clean the contact surfaces. It’ll work until it fails again.

I'd agree that replacing the fixture is the easiest solution. When you get the new one, double check the gasket that goes between the lens and the fixture. I had these on my coach and they were problematic and frequently allowed water into the fixture causing corrosion like you have. In the end I cut a new gasket from neoprene to replace the paper or cork one they come with.
