How to remove CCD halogen fixture?

So... bought a bag full of cheap LED pucks to replace the halogen's in the cabinets and ceiling. So far, only 2/3 of them work, as some of the fixtures have their polarity reversed (the LED's work if I flip them, but then the light is shining the wrong way). The fixtures UNDER the cabinets seem to be glued on or something... does anyone know if/how I can get in there to flip the wires around? The fixtures IN the cabinets seem to be spring loaded or something... do I just need to pull them harder?

I guess there are polarity immune LED's... these I guess are not (they were $2 instead of $15 a piece).

OK - I've figured out the spring-loaded ones... kind tight in the cabinets... now I just need to know how to get the under-cabinet lights apart...

The flush-mount lights in the ceiling (and in the ceiling in the cabinets) have two springs that hold them in... the entire fixture will pop down slightly and then the spring coils start to catch because they are really tight with the holes in mine. Some of mine came out by pulling down equally on both sides, others worked better by pulling one side out first. Keep your fingers close to the springs, as when they pop out of the roof, they are like a mouse-trap.

I am going back to try the under-cabinet lights again... they are a mystery...

Thanks! I had tried in the past to remove just the inner assembly, obviously without success.

Figured out the under-cabinet lights... similar concept to the others... the outer ring can be pried and is spring-loaded (but in a different method)... it is just really tight, and requires getting at it from both sides to get it to pop...

Changed out all of my main interior lights last night. I used a thin sheet of plastic to get the entire light assembly out first. Then I used a thin wooden skewer to 'push' out the inner assembly from above because I couldn't get it out otherwise.

Still managed to cut my hand on the 'mousetrap' even with prior warning.

I just ordered more LEDs to change out everything else.
