A standard aluminum rivet (aluminum shaft also) and a dab of Parbond or Alcoa Gutter Seal on the head of each. Seal the top and side edges of the assembly with the same. Enjoy...

Someone has spliced a portion of a quarter panel over the original panel.

Your tail light assembly was fastened to the quarter panel, with pop rivets, from the inside of the sheetmetal, when the trailer was manufactured.

Instead of removing the quarter panel, or tearing out the inside of the trailer to get at the tail light, you can reinstall it by adding some vulkem, to the back side of the bezel, then fastening the bezel to the metal with some plated sheet metal screws. When the vulkem cures out, it will help to hold the bezel in place.

Unfortunately, the screws will have to stay in place.

Andy

ok
thanks: ganglin & andy
here is some more photos
so far i have only drilled out rivets (belly pan, banana wrap, inside panels etc., i have not started to put anything back together.
andy everything looks original doesn't look like a splice to quarter panel over the original panel.
there is a portion of broken rivet attached to rear of bezel but you dint see any rivet on the finished side, dumb question, but i thought rivet goes all the way thru quarter panel & bezel to work?
thanks.
Jim.
