How do I remove Interior Light Panels?

Hi Airstream Brethren,
I recently began renovation on a 1982 310 Turbo Diesel & can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the rectangular light panels
(with-out damaging them) located beneath the storage shelves in the kitchen & living area.
Is their a trick to it or do you just bend back the aluminum frames and hope for the best?
Thanks in advance for any advice on the subject.
see ya out there!

I just put leds on my 79 excella mh and the panels your talking about are a @$$%%&* you have to pry them out with a stiff putty knife start on one end
And get a cornnor out then they will come out. Cut the sharp cornors off while they are out. Do this job only when its nice and warm.
