Fresh breath and a light bulb globe
Yes, I saw the reproduction part on Vintage Camper...but when I first saw them, they were out of stock (note I put the link in my original post). I did not find the link for Vintage Trailer Parts. Thanks for sharing that. I decided to get creative and look around. I came up with a reasonable and cheap solution.
The ID of the neck of a standard Listerine bottle is about the correct size. I determined that if I beveled the ID (just the section where the bottle cap threads are) a little bit, it would fit tightly on the light fixture. The bottle cap threads are shy of where the bulb needs to spread its fine light. I then just cut the cylinder to length so the light cover and gasket make contact.
Longevity? I have no idea, but the plastic is quite thick and we go through Listerine bottles about every month, so I will make up a bunch of spares.
