Exterior Replacement Help

So I have a 1973 Globetrotter that I just polished looks great but I am trying to replace some broken items. There is a white cover over the water heater door that appears to have two lights on in it. Two wires going into the trailer. I can not for the life of me find this device in the manual or on any internet searches... Does anyone know what the heck this is... and if so where I can get a replacement cover??? Thanks so much. Chris

Hi, and welcome to the forums.
Is this little white cover crumbly plastic? With two screws holding it in place, one above the other?
Looks kind of like this?:

That is a taillight monitor cover, available from Inland RV, among other places.
The little wires are really fiber optic tubes that go to the taillights, so you can glance in your mirror and see if the taillights are on, without getting out of the truck, and slogging back (usually in the rain) to make sure they are working.
