Exterior LED markers

I'm replacing my marker lights with LEDs. The originals were riveted and used that for the ground. The new ones have 2 wires (red and black). Black is ground. But look at the pics. How do I get a rivet tool to pull the shaft with such a distance to the head? that's about 1/4" gap.

Get a ferrule and use it as a spacer.
Should cost $.07 at Ace or mom and pop hardware stores.

My problem would then be that the shaft of the pop rivet would not be long enough for the rivet gun to grab.

Use sheet metal screws to mount the fixtures. You may have to remove the fixtures in the future for grounding issues so take the easy way out.

My inexpensive rivet gun has a bit of a nose on it so that it'll fit into somewhat tighter spaces. Kind of like this:
