Changing bulbs in directional fixtures
*Sigh* I'm sure this is in here somewhere, but can't find it searching on my phone. How do I open up the directional light fixtures (the spotlighty ones that you can aim) to replace a burned out bulb? I've been twisting and poking at it but it's still a mystery to me.
(To add to my woes, the lowest shelf in the fridge has broken, looks like simple fatigue, since there hasn't been anything on them for a month or so.)

There are several kinds and the tricks vary depending which one you have.
Mine look like they have all glass lenses but they're actually half glass and half plastic. The center glass part comes out of the outside plastic part by prying carefully. It doesn't take much force.
A photo would help so we can see what style you have.

Thanks, Jammer, I'll post one tomorrow when I get to the trailer, it was a music night, but tomorrow I start moving in to the Bambino!

Okay, here's two pics! Thanks, I'm loathe to just force things apart!

Mine are different.
I would suggest wrapping the bezel with rubber so that you can grip it, then turning and pulling it off. An old inner tube with the talc cleaned off would work, for example.

Fabulous, thanks, Jammer! It's still stuck, but I got it off on one of the others, so I'll keep working at it. At least now I know what bulb to replace it with.
