Ceiling LED lights won't turn off

We are newbies.. so please have mercy on us.
My husband and I have a 2014 interstate and yesterday while driving from Florida we realized the ceiling lights will not dim or turn off with the switches.
We actually had to cut the power off to the van so our baby could sleep in the back.
Right now we are driving and ceiling lights are on and really bright.. switch is in off position.. we are puzzled ;(
Any thoughts??

Don't have an Interstate, but was wondering if there is more than one switch that controls the same lights? If so, do both have to be "off"... Like Craig, just tryin' to help ...

Check the switch to the sliding door. If it isn't functioning correctly, the lights won't go off. Also, you may have a "door ajar" waring on the dash, but not always. One of our customers had this issue, and I pulled a fuse from the panel under the driver's seat to temporarily shut them off.

Weird! I just answered one like this for someone else today:

The toggle on your wall switch probably separated from the terminal. Pull the switch off and take a look
