Hello. We are new members fixing up our 1979 Excella 500. The running lights are partially working - some are and some are not. Some have one half of the light working and the other half not. We bought a set of LED replacement bulbs, and still some are working, others not. The random-ness suggests it is a problem with the contacts in the lights. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to clean these delicate things?

Baking soda and a tooth brush might help, but if it is a connection issue’ I would just buy A $7-$10 tube of Dielectric Grease and coat the metal in the lights. It will help protect the metal parts and increase the connectivity to keep the lights working. I have used this on a 1969 over lander where things were pretty damaged to stop more damage from occurring and get the lights all working again avoiding replacing all the light fixtures.
