Backup lights

Greetings All,
We have a 2016 22FB and love it! I'm installing backup lighting using 2 sealed led units installed in the bumper. I want to connect to the center pin (which seems to be the backup power on the plug).
In looking under the bed, I think I've found where (Ithink) the cable from the truck comes up inside from the frame. etrailer.com had a pinout which says white wire is ground and purple is backup.
Of course, there's no purple wire in the bundle coming up out of the floor.
I'm going to get a helper to apply 12v to center pin of coupling to camper while I'm inside with meter.
Any suggestions?

On our plug the center pin is the B/U wire and it's orange.

I connected my two LED under bumper lights to the light switch located by the dump valves. So yes, I do have to walk around and turn it on and it stays lite flooding the back of the trailer until I turn it off, which I find convenient while setting up.

just an idea as an alternative to connecting to the back switch on the TV.

Good idea about the dump light.
I'll check on the "orange" wire. I discovered the hole where the propane line comes up from outside for hot water heater needs packing. Also the battery wiring port is open. Lots to discover when you look close.

Steamy1 thanks for the input. The dump station courtesy light is a perfect location. I'll connect in there no problem. I have two light sets to install in the bumper. It only requires a 1.25" hole in the bumper for each.

I usually do not travel after dark, so backup lights are unnecessary. However, the few times I need it, I just use those battery hazard pucks to mark my path. They have also come in handy when the late-night arrival 5th wheels and Class A's show up in the camp.

Yes!
I'd have never thought of that!
But, I rarely arrive in the dark, except perhaps to my storage room when returning. I put a stripe of white SOLAS tape on the wall dead center of my space. Then using the rear camera, and a touch on the brakes, it lights up well.
I did think about adding one or two of these magnetic LED battery lights to the metal bumper storage cover, when I needed more. $8 Harbor Freight. No connection.

We do not usually arrive after dark but got a late start last fall. Ended up on the wrong street and had to back 50+ yards down a dark side road. Wasn't fun but with wife's help we got it done. Backup lights are cheap insurance.
