'74 Sovereign taillight and backup light replacement

Okay so I recently ordered LED taillights and backup lights for my 1974 sovereign. When I open up the old ones... I mean take a lenses off I see two rivet type endings coming from the interior of the trailer how do I access is to remove them?

Any steps people have gone through would be very helpful! thanks
