70's or 80's trailer / moho tail lights

We have a 1979 Trade Wind that has weathered chrome-foil covered taillight bezels. Checked with Airstream and Inland, neither have them. Anyone parting out a trailer/motorhome from the late 70's or 80's have taillight bezels in "better-than-good" condition to sell? We have stripped the clearcoat and the Airstream's skin is in such great shape, we really hate to put the old gritty/cracked ones back on.

You might want to check out Vintage Trailer Supply....

They usually have a pretty good selection.

rickandsandi,

Thanks for the suggestion but Vintage Trailer doesn' have anything like the Bezels I need. They are Chrome-foil covered frames that have openings in it for 3 taillight lenses. the outer holes are for the taillight/blinker/stop and center one is for the backup light lens. Then the light socket cups are recessed behind this bezel where the trailer skin has been cut away.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but can you get them re-chromed?

Hi,
Please try to see if there is a crome shop in your area. They probaly recrome
the old ones for you. That way they will look original.

It isn't real chrome but maybe paint them with the chrome paint, at least they will look decent and be the same color.

hi- just found a good source for ALL kinds of taillight lenses- Taillightking Web Site, in Montgomery, Texas. Nice guy, huge selection of vintage and repro, quick shipping. Give 'em a try if you're looking to refurbish your rig. -tim
