4 way light switch

I replaced a 4 way rotary light switch the other day. The replacement switch lasted one day before it broke. I am going to nix that style switch, and replace it with a double pole, double throw toggle switch. One position, will light one bulb, the other position will light the other three bulbs. I guess I need to find a switch with a middle position for the off mode ( one that's not made in China )
Although it would have been nice to keep it original, I never really liked having to cycle through all the brighter modes to turn the light off. While I am at it, I will switch over to LEDs.
