1963 Bambi porch light

Trying to get the exterior buck riveting wrapped up before freezing temps shut me down for the year

This fixture looks to have been wired in after-the-fact, and the cover has been re-attached with screws.

With the interior skins out, now is the time to install the proper fixture and buck rivet the cover

I have no idea what the original one looked like. What is a good source for a good fixture ?

Hey a k
Ours never had an exterior porch light nor was there any indication of an interior switch. Maybe the previous owner added it.
Vintage Trailer Supply does have them.

It is on the wrong side of the door. Seems if somebody were to knock on the door, when the door was opened, they would be standing in the shadow.

You might consider this fixture.

I think Beaker is right-on, this set-up and fixture are not original equipment. It is not actually mounted to the skin, it just dangled by the wires, they drilled a cluster of 3 holes to get a big enough hole to thread the wires. (No grommet). The fixture was 110v and fastened to a piece of lamp cord !!

The fixture is removed in the pic, but is that V collection of holes above the blue tarp, almost in front of the trailer

Does anybody know if more of these covers are available ? Based on the red-necked wiring job, I don't think these chuuckle-heads fabricated it. It might be usefull over other things like water hook ups & such

A k,
I like the look of that cast light from vintage trailer supply, but not enough to run the wiring.
