Hello, I have completed all work and ready to start putting things back together on this trailer. (First timer) I replaced floor and removed inside walls/insulation and old wiring. We will be putting LED for inside lights. We plan to use suitcase type solar panels to charge batteries when camping if no hookups.

Can this be attached direct to 7 pin plug when not hooked up to tow vehicle?

We will have a converter. Only 110 will be refrigerator (which will also run on propane) and AC. We will not install an inverter.
Plan to use 12 gauger for all outside and inside lights.

Would greatly appreciate any suggestions for wire gauge or things to consider as I run wiring. Original had wires taped to side of skin with insulation over. I have seen pics of most that have wiring inside of insulation bit under reflectix.

Does this matter?

Planned to move batteries to front tongue inside a locked box. Is this unwise?
