I need help in trying to figure out why after knew battery's if more then one light is on in 2005 19 Bambi my light on readout goes to yellow?
This happened in April and after 4 months the battery's died, just replaced them with same kind since under warranty. They are RV battery's and deep cycle. Thanks for any suggestions
Couple of things. First more information is needed to really dig into this issue. Do you have a volt meter? If so, what is the voltage of the batteries with no load (nothing turned on)? What is the voltage of the battery with a load (with lights running). How are you charging the batteries? Are your batteries charging? When was the last time the batteries were charged? What is the brand and size of the Batteries. If they are wet cell batteries, hows the water level?
These are all good places to start.
Thanks, no I don't have a meter to check all of that. Its Duracell 12 volt, its what the man at sams said I needed. I will have to bring it in and get that all checked. I keep it plugged in at home and just got back from a three day camping trip. The water was good. Thanks
Actually if you still have a yellow indicator light on the battery monitor after 3 days camping I think you are in pretty good shape. Batteries just do not last long dry camping. Water pump and propane detector. Did you have a fan on at all? Incadesent lamp. Fridge running on propane. Most likely the problem that is killing your batteries is the power converter in the trailer is boiling them during the parked period and maybe not actually fully charging them. Not sure what power converter Airstream used in 2005.
This was not dry camping, I do have a knew converter but this started after I replaced the old batteries back in April before the converter was changed.
