Where's the water supply on the Thetford toilet?

Hi all,

I'm now at the point where I'm ready to install the toilet that came with our 1967 globetrotter ( it wasn't installed when we got the trailer)... Im looking for what I imagine must be some sort of water supply to hook up and can only see one possible option which appears to be broken ( see attached pics).

Has anyone replaced this part before? Do you have a picture of what it looks like in fully functional form by chance? Any tips, tricks I should be aware?

After googling for a while now I'm wondering if the part I am looking at is a ball valve.... I've not seen one online that appears to match though. On the toilet I see a model number 1400 but I don't see the aqua magic referred to as just the 1400- perhaps it's called the thetford deluxe?
