Wet Bath

Hi All,

Does anyone out there have a wet bath they could measure for me? I am trying to lay out my bathroom space and would like to know what my minimum dimensions might be.

Thanks,

Carlos Ferguson

Wet Bath Size

Great idea. I thought a call to Airstream would be necessary.

A Google of wet bath manufacturers and RV's was no help.

The older trailers are narrower and the wet bath might restrict the isle.

Does it matter the year of the trailer?

We pulled what appears to be the original shower pan out of ours last night. It is 24" x 24". It had 2 walls on each side with a curtain. It was big enough for either of us to shower in...one at a time. A large person would have to soap the walls and twirl! I would think that you could allow for the toilet and then at least a 24" x 24" open area to stand in. A normal home bathtub is also apprx. 24" wide.

Action,

The year of the trailer doesn't matter to me, I am just wondering how much space I "need" for the wet bath...

Right now I have about 28" x 40" which sounds like it should be adequate?

wet bath dimensions

Ours is approx 52 X 33 inches inside measure, although not fully rectangular. AS bevelled the corner where the door installs. This is a 2005 CCD 22. Space includes lavatory, tlt, and ample room for one to shower. Could work with less than 33 inches except would shorten height as one would be going closer to the radius where roof and wall meet. Could work with less than 52 inches if no lavatory or you must shower sitting on tlt.

I measured our tub. It is located in the rear of the trailer on the curbside so the tub takes a curve of the back end of the trailer. At it's longest and widest point it measures:

44" Long
28" Wide

I shot a couple of pictures and forgot to bring my adapter to work. So I will post pics (asuming I don't forget and I forget ......... what was I saying?) laster tonight.

BTW I have never used it for it's designed purpose. However it works well for storage and works even better for wet storage.

Better late than never.

Click on the Photo rivit at the top of this page and the go to Actions photos. You will see the shots of the tub I took. (Among other things) I am not sure i would want to take a bath in it. However it does serve some other purposes. That's why it's a bit soiled. ........ Don't go there!
