Water Closet

When the toilet flush peddle is pushed to the floor and released a small amount still runs after the flush. Is there an adjustment?

Water leaks out of the waste holding tank around the push pull drain release.
What is this part called? Can it be repaired?

If you have seen the movie Cars my 64 safari would be TOW MATER

It should run on for a short while to add water to the bowl again, in my case about 3/4 in.
If it runs on longer and does not stop, then you might have to take apart the valve mechanism and have a look-see. Might need rebuilding.

The part is called a dump valve. If it is original, then it might be a Thetford valve. You might check the seat of the sliding blade, and see if there's toilet paper stuck in it, preventing it to seal completely. Not a fun job.

The movie Cars was awesome! And, Tow Mater was very, very cool! I kept looking for an airstream like trailer in the "audience" in the film, but alas I didn't see one.... but a whole lot of SOB's.
