Vent for composting toilet

Hi,

We are putting in a Natures Head composting toilet. I'm planning on using the original black tank vent pipe as the vent for the little exhaust fan on the composting head. (see pics) As a backup, I'd like to put an independent solar fan (like a nicro) on top of the vent pipe.

Any ideas on how to do this without cutting a 3" hole in the exterior and interior skins?

I was considering this Ultra-Fab Products 53945001 Mini Solar Vent : Amazon.com : Automotive
