Upgrade Thetford Aqua Magic V Toilet ??

I have a Thetford Aqua Magic V toilet with a plastic bowel in our 25' FB 2007 Safari. The drain blade in the current unit has developed raised spots and is absorbing the color from the blue head chemical. I want to replace it with a Thetford china bowel toilet and would like to know if anyone has undertaken that project and what model they were able to fit in the bathroom without any modifications?

Sounds like the blue chemical is the culprit for the bumps. Water and sewage wouldn't cause that to happen. Don't know about the toilet swap but suggest you be careful that the same doesn't happen with the new toilet.

We used a Style china toilet to replace our plastic-bowl toilet.

I used a Sealand Traveler lite in a 1981 trailer. It has a china bowl and seems to work great. The install was a piece of cake.

Ditto here --- Sealand Traveler Lite. Easy install. Wish I'd done it much earlier...

I also used a sealand.
BUT, as someone else alluded, that may not keep the plastic parts in the valve assy from discoloring. With that said, I do like the china bowl much better.

Do the newer Airstreams have a 2 bolt or 4 bolt and does one need the adapter to make it a 4 bolt to install this?

I found this place that had it for a bit less through the 20th of this month:

We installed a floating floor in our bath/kitchen area las tyear and we replaced the stool with a Aqua Magic High Profile (Bone) unit from Camping World. It went in very easily and all I needed was a new ring for it. Had to route the water to it a little differently buty we are quite pleased with it. They have low profile units also.

Update: After talking to Thetford I found out that there was a clear plastic cover installed on the plastic drain blade that was installed by Thetford at the factory that was not removed by Airstream or my dealer. The raise spots was where water had gotton under the clear plastic and raised it off the surface and the blue staining was from some of the head chemical workings its way between the blade and the the clear plastic cover. The clear plastic is sticking to the plastic blade and has been very difficult to remove. Will probably leave it unless it causes a problem with the blade sealing the toilet.

American RV Company has the Sealand Traveler Lite for $134.95. That's the best price I've seen

Sealand Traveler Lite or 500 Plus??

What's the difference btwn the Sealand Traveler Lite and the Sealand Traveler 500 Plus (more expensive)? Is there any justification to spend more on the Traveler 500 Plus?
