Tub Faucet Drips
Tub faucet ( fixture) drips. How does one replace the '0' rings in a '71 27 ft Yacht ,rear bath ? Kitchen sink was a breeze. Tom

If it is original, it should not be O-rings in there, You may find you have rubber (possibly leather) washers. Remove the handle, then you can remove the valve.
This page shows a how to, although the faucet is not the came, but is the same principle

I Thought that it was like the K. sink, which was easy. Oh well, lots of other things to play with! tom

Sounds like yours is not original. Every bath faucet I have ever seen could be serviced with out tearing down a wall to get to it. If it has a knob on it, remove the center piece and go from there. If it has a handle, look for an allen screw on the bottom side.
Does this unit have a brand name on it? Maybe a picture?

Single handle faucets
Look closely at just how your faucet is constructed. Then go down to the local hardware store and find one that looks like it and talk to the oldest guy there to find out how it comes apart.

Tom,
If it is a Moen fixture there is a special tool to remove the cartridge. The tool is available at the big box hardware stores, plumbing supply stores and I think local hardware stores.

I believe it's like my '66.
I think the manufacture is Delta????
All is accessible from the front! The single lever will come off by loosening the allen screw in the handle. Then there is a collar that comes off with a special tool. I used a screw driver in the slots. Be careful not to damage the slots. The insides will come out after the collar is removed.
I took the insides to HD and matched them up with the many different repair kits. Fixed both sinks and the shower.
Back to my repipe with pex.
