Toilet water supply leak
I have intermittent leak from the water supply for the toilet. This occurs both from the freshwater tank and when hooked up to city water. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know the purpose of the black fitting which appears in the white water line?

Are you saying the valve is leaking and continuing to fill the toilet, or is there a leak from the piping or valve dripping on the floor leading to the toilet?

Water is leaking onto the floor. Small drips which seem to be coming from the black valve

If it's a drip anywhere in the vicinity of where the water line enters the toilet, you very likely just need a new dometic cartridge. Very easy fix that will take less than 15 minutes. Camping World, eTrailer, and Home Depot all carry them, IIRC it will cost around $60 for the part.
Good Luck!

Two "black valves" you could be referring to:
1) shutoff valve on the floor, on the cabinet side of toilet. If this is leaking, it simply needs to be removed and replaced.
2) black rubber seal where the vacuum breaker enters the toilet. Could be dried out, new one can be obtained from Dometic or as part of the vacuum breaker replacement kit.
Agree with above posters that photos or more detail would be helpful.

Dometic Toilet Drips...Occasionally
Check under each with a paper towel. If it's the black valve, you'll need to replace it with one compatible with PEX using a crimping tool for same. They're cheap enough and a good addition to your toolbox.
If its the valve just behind the R side of the seat hinge, you can get a Dometic one quick enough on Amazon for about $47 and with Prime, of course, no shipping. I sourced mine from a local RV supply for $37 but that was 3 years ago.

Agree with others. Since intermittent, likely the dometic water valve needs replacing. I replaced mine last year on our 2018. If I let the flush pedal snap back up, it wouldn't drip, but if slowly released the pedal, it would sometimes leak by.

I had the same issue, turned out to be leaking at the hose connecting the flush valve to the bowl. I believe the pex fitting the factory uses to attach the hose to the valve is not correct for the hose material. The fix was to use a proper hose clamp at this connection. No more leak. See this thread for details:

Sorry I didn’t post pictures. I took them but couldn’t figure out how to post them from my phone.
Looks like the shutoff valve (which doesn’t turn). I will replace it.
Thank you all very much.

water leak
I have one as well. One of my pex fittings is loose.
Also , the fitting that goes in to the toilet bowl had a small crack.
Bought replacement on Amazon. problem solved. Cheap on amazon, under
$20. $75 at airstream dealer in Naperville. What a rip off for a $2 piece of plastic.
Bought pex tool and fitting on amazon. Will be repaired tomorrow.
