toilet problems

I have a 1969 overlander. The original toilet was leaking, so I removed it. After removal, there was no flange to attach the new toilet ---- I bought a closet flange extension and can bolt it to the plywood. What size stainless bolts should I use? Also, trying to find a toilet to fit in the area. From the left was to the middle of the drain hole is 7 inches. I was checking out the Sealand Lite--the 18" high model because it is not as wide. I think it's a little over 14" wide. Does anyone have information about this toilet--as far as quality? I found a place in Houston to buy it.
When i attach the new closet flange , do I need to put some king of sealer between that and the flange that is attached to the black water tank?

sealand lite - a good pot

We recently replaced the plastic original thetford in our argosy with the sealand lite model 111 - it's the low version of the one your considering. It's made of china and is a vast improvement. it also was the only model we could find to fit in the existing space. comes with or without sprayer - in white or bone. It seems to be well made and to date; well behaved.
