Thumbs up Toilet paper safely locked up

Hello all.
The plastic tambour on the vanity of my '71 Tradewind LY twin beds does not work very well to say the least. It is currently frozen at about the halfway mark. It feels like a slat is hung on something. I may have caused this myself in the process of attempting to fix the sticky door. I was able to get the door out, and since the canvas backing was all bunched up I decided to trim it back with utility knife. Might have been big mistake. We are new to all of this, but am pretty sure we need reliable access to the TP. Any advice gratefully considered.
Thanks in advance for your efforts on my behalf,
