Toilet in 65 Caravel

I have the original toilet in our 65 Caravel. It has a copper pipe that goes from the bottum of the unit to the bottum of the fill tank on the back. The PO drilled this pipe at the bottum of the pipe in the U - why I dont know. I want to replace this pipe, but every time I go to make a replacement copper pipe, I end up creasing it...I can't get it rounded like the piece there. Any ideas? Will a new replacement toilet bolt right in? Any ideas, or has anyone had this pipe out and replaced it?

Rob,
What size is the pipe? If it is small 1/2" or so, they make different grades of copper you will need one of the soft tubing grades to make the bend, IIRC it is
K but don't quote me on that

1/2 Inch

Yes, I think it is 1/2. Yes, I've bought the maleable copper, but can't get the bend. I'm taking it tomorrow during lunch to a copper tubing shop here at home in NY. I'm not sure if the toilet is worth the trouble. We'll see.

you can get one of those spring benders for your project.

it looks like an oversized screen door spring with a funnel on one end.

you simply slide the tubing inside of it and make your bend. then it slides right off! they are available at most hardware stores.
