Time to buy a new toilet.....

.....and I do not want to break the bank. However I am also a firm believer in doing something once correctly and not having to do it again at a later date. So my question: any specific brands or styles that are better than others? Has anyone had better luck with one type vs. another?

Thanks!

Jared

Hi Jarod,

I installed one of these late last summer. Used it on a couple of trips before winterizing. I like it and it is one of the very few things my wife actually thanked me for upgrading!

I'm in the process of upgrading to a Sealand Traveler Lite which is supposed to have a china bowl (easier to keep clean) and a more reliable waste valve. They're around $200.

I put in a Sealand and like it

It's a China ( porcelan ? ) Any way it doesn't scratch if you scrub it. The scratches will collect " stuff " and grow all kind of nastys. However, the seat and cover are plastic. Sooner or later, I will get a better seat at HD.
I picked Sealand because they offer a model that was low to the ground. I needed a short model because the toilet is sitting on top of the black tank, so a normal height toilet would end up toilet too high off of the floor.

Our first trailer had a PO installed china bowl. It worked nicely and cleaned easy. I had never had any other so all was good. Our current unit has an original plastic model. It works fine and winterized OK this past year. I just don't like it as well and when needed I will replace with a china model.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

I think our '99 has a Thetford Bravura low profile foot flush, which has a china bowl but other parts are plastic and it has worked well for us for a couple of years.

We are getting ready to buy one for our Bubble, and was wondering if anyone could compare the Thetford Bravura to the Thetford Aqua Magic V?

Thanks.

Deb
