Thetford Aqua Magic pedal push won't fill bowl.

My Thetford Aqua Magic won't fill the bowl when the pedal is pushed part way. I have to push the pedal quite a ways and by then the valve on the bottom of the bowl is part way open and the water runs out. Is there a fix? I had the cover off and didn't see an adjustment.

If I remember correctly there are 2 cables inside the toilet. They are much like the cables on the hand brake on a bicycle. Stepping on the pedal pulls the cables and gets things moving. One hooks to the blade , the other to the water valve thing. Each has a stop or "keeper" that tightens down on the cable. Sounds like one of them may have loosened and slipped. I had to remove the toilet and take it apart to access the cables. I purchased a rebuild kit from Camping World, it had new cables, keepers, and some other stuff . If you have to remove it and take it apart, may as well put in some new parts. Hope this helps.

I fixed the problem by replacing the water valve. A messy, unpleasant job but not difficult. My toilet was a Style Plus and not an Aqua Magic. Style Plus and Lite water valves are different and not as common. It may be a special order. I purchased two so I have one for a spare.

What model Aqua Magic is it? May be a stupid question but, if your model is equipped with a two part pedal - you are just pushing the smaller outer pedal to add water? - not both pedals.
