Rivet Shower pan strengthening/repair necessary? (Bambi II)

I am working on gutting the Bambi II. This is in preparation for floor removal, frame repair, and floor replacement. I have toyed with not removing the fiberglass shower pan/black tank combination unit. I am just not sure how to go about it, but will look at it further as I get to that point.

I notice that the shower floor is a bit stress cracked right around the drain and makes that crackly fiberglass sound when one steps in there. I am wondering if my local fiberglass shop or auto body guys can strengthen/repair this, or if it even needs repaired. I am guessing it might leak, but have no idea at this point.

All of this is a ways off, but just looking for some advice on how to proceed. I guess also if things are too bad (I don't really think they are), a new tub/tank unit could be fabricated.

Ideas on this?

Thanks! Ben

My husband taught autobody repair and has worked many times with fiberglass. He repaired the fiberglass shroud for the AS air conditioner (now looks new). Our shower pan has about a 3" crack in the corner, and he plans to repair it himself. I would think you could check with reputable body shops for a fiberglass person or a recommendation..
