Shower head on/off push botton

My old 87 had a built in on/ off push button on the shower head handle.
My new trailer does not.
Anyone know where I can purchase another one?
I think it's a great water saver as once the shower water temp is adjusted at the beginning of the shower it stays the same because I don't have to adjust it again, even though I turn it on and off during the showering process.

I got one at Home Depot. Just about any big-box hardware store should have them. I also got a metal shower hose and new handle head there too. Much nicer than the originals.

Thanks, I should have thought of HD. I just don't think of trailer stuff and home stuff being the same sometimes.

Our old one was getting a bit clogged and the drill bit "root canal" method I performed didn't do well. I picked a new one up at an AS dealer and found the newer ones have an extra ring of holes that most likely uses more water but makes for a nicer shower experience. You may find that The Home Depot works just as well. Good luck.

on/off switching to the shower head...

most hardware stores stock these in push button or toggle versions, that install INline at the shower head.

the problem with YOUR unit is it also has a back flow/drain valve gizmo.

this thing is plumb'd DIFFERENTLY than your old 80s trailer.

the drain valve is at the LOWest point BEFORE the flex hose and serves to DRAIN the hose and head.

so depending on this piece an on/off switch further downstream, may/maynot stop water flow in the OFF position.

the back flow/drain piece can be REMOVED but be careful, it's attached right at the fiberglass wall

and if not properly tightened and sealed, can leak into the wall (not a good thing)

cheers

Go to your rv supplier, I got a new shower head last year (something new) that works like a kitchen sink nozel. It airates the water and without using more water the pressure seems to be double or better! Best shower ever in all the years in boats and RVs. Can't remember the name, but if you cant find them I'll repost the name after going to the AS later.

2air,
You have a valid point about the flow/drain valve. I was not aware of the difference, but as I think about it more, I see what you mean. I'm not usually one to negate a feature of a system, I'll just back burner this idea and see how it all pans out after I use it the way it is for a while.

Thanks everyone!

As promised the manufacturer is Oxygenics. Again, the best shower head I've ever tried!
