Shortest toilet
What's the lowest profile toilet? I've seen some that say they are 14 in high but in comments people say 17. With my black tank and then the toilet (@ 5'2") I feel I'll have to take a running jump to get on it.

There are "low profile" units which measure 14" high.

My solution. Easy to fold up and put out of the way.

After rebuilding the wooden structure that mine sits on and gaining 3/4"height for better framing. Then finding that the new short model toilet I installed is 1 1/2" taller than the one I was replacing, I too found myself sitting with legs hanging in space.
About that time I heard about toilet called the squatty potty. A very low sitting model that is said to promote good elimination.
Well once I got used to putting my feet up on the top of the wooden structure under the toilet. Putting myself nearly in that squatting position, I have found this to be a good outcome to the too tall toilet.
I hope you are able to get it how you like it.
Cheers Richard

Thetford Aqua V. They come in low and high profile. Hand or foot flush. I prefer the hand flush model.

Very frustrating to try to buy a short toilet. I too saw the 17" dimension but then found that is the height of the box it comes in from some places. Not very useful information. I have ordered, but not yet received, a Aqua that is a handle flush instead of a pedal flus and is short. I did find some that were about 14" or less to the top of the seat. (Dimensions from the Tetford website). The modern standard for "low profile" seems to be 17" to the seat. I am going to look at the one I ordered when it comes and decide whether to use it or not. Does not have a china bowl which is a negative for me.

Thank y'all. The next shortest person in my home is a 6'1" 14 yr old. They like the tall toilet. The last poster, Bill, if you get yors and it seems like a good height, will you post it here.

Backordered.
Should be here July 3, I am told. We planned to leave July 5 so do not know if I will get the job done before the summer trip. I will let you know. The one I ordered is so short I ordered and extension too just in case I need it. Will send it back if height is good without it.
I did not want to take the trailer apart before I get the new part. But might. I need to see what is what under the lift box for the toilet. If I could take that box out or shorten it I would get a different toilet. One of the 17" ones with the china bowl.

This is what I did today....
Demo out old toilet.
Remove old flange. It unscrews, you can get it loose by tapping it with a punch horizontally in a counter clockwise direction.
Slide black tank forward as far as it will go. I unhooked the valve because I thought I would have to make a new piece. Didn't need to, it lined up just fine.
Cut out a new piece of particle board to go over the tank, also a matching piece of white melamine like material to go over the top.
Built a custom shortened offset flange to move the toilet 2" forward. It also raised it up several inches.
Put it all together, I used a section of 1x2 against the rear wall to support the board and cut another piece of particle board for the front. The only way I could get the flange installed was to put my boards flat on the tank and screw it in, then lift them into place.
I'm 6'3 with long legs and this toilet is really tall for me. The unit itself is 14" but my platform adds another 9".
Maybe there is a better way to do this but it's done now and I can move on to other projects....
John
