Alaska Highway through Destruction Bay (Airstream). Shattered shower door. Replaced with Lexan in Fairbanks. Talked to a few with similar issues. Not a good sight to open the door to a mess. Cannot seem to post a pic. Anyway have to pick up some scars on the Alaska Highway. 2023 International 25 FBT.
That is a rough section of the Alaska Highway. Sorry this has happened. I lost several rivets from the bouncing around in that section. Later that summer, in trying to open the shower door, the entire right side hinge gave way leaving me holding the door up. Eventually, we got the door replaced but it was a 3 month wait. We used a shower curtain in the meantime. The lexan sounds like a good substitute if the hinges are in good shape.
Consider a Nautilus roll-up shower door as a replacement: https://shop.stoett.com/. When we bought it new in 2002, our Airstream came with a very similar door which has served extremely well ever since.

I totally have the Nautalis on my project list when the current door gives out. I would be happy to hear from anyone who has installed one?
Not cheap but maybe a better solution for the last years of trailer life?
