Unhappy Scrub a dub,dub

Trying to brighten up the rear bath in my 71' Int. The tub looks OK, but the sink and counter is kind of dull. Tried the plastic gell stuff but did't work! There is a stain . Looks like a stain from a shaving cream can. Anyway to restore the luster??

I would try a strong smokers toothpaste with whiteners; such as Rembrandt toothpaste. Another technique is liquid dishwasher soap; this has an effective bleaching and cleaning agent.

I've NOT done these but we use one or the other of these for lots of things that have eluded other methods.

My sink & tub are ABS plastic I use a non-abrasive paste wax to dress it up, works ok for 20 year old plastic.
